With FMJ your rifle may be more capable than you think against mild steel plate. I have been curious myself and so we nail 1/8″, 1/2″, then 3/4″ steel plate with a Christensen Arms CA10, KeltTec RFB 24″, then a JP AR-15. Chad and PFIDude help with the shooting. For grins we shoot the XDM 9mm too and expect no results. The results may surprise you.
